I decided I needed to finally try a scratch built figure and I remember someone wanting a Brood figurine after seeing James (Ace) make his.

Now I put it off for all this time as I didnt know if I could pull it off but Im quite happy with the result (so far) as I have yet to paint it but that will happen in the next few days.

Now I hope James isnt to fussed about me making a figure he has done years ago lol

Its about to get a bit crazy in here..

Hey everyone, I have finally figured out how to make a slideshow to post on here so please take a look at all the customs I have done so far (there are many more but no images of those ones)

Hey everyone, not posted in a while but I will be posting a few of my newest customs this week so stay tuned for more updates.

I was asked by someone if I would like to make Deathbird and at first I thought I dont want to attempt her but Im really pleased as to how she turned out. The base model is Big Barda, and the staff came from a Son of Satan I used for another custom.

Next up is a Cable, I was asked to do this as the original cable that was released by EM is way to small and out of scale so I used Brainiac as a base model and sculpted all the extra pieces onto the figure. The gun is from a action figure as couldnt get the one of the original cable figure. I have yet to decide what is to go into his raised hand...

Finally, here is Stryfe, I was very happy hpw he turned out as I thought this guy would be alot harder than I thought he would be to make. The base model is Steel and the cape is fully sculpted by myself as I couldnt get the original cape to glue back into place due to the shoulder pads and I have to say its one of my best capes I have made (in my opinion lol)

Hey Everyone,

This is my first update for 2011 and I hope you like what I am going to post. I am going to keep it brief. Up first is Strong Guy, he is made from top-half Hulk and bottom half darkseid. took a while to file him all down and sculpt on his jacket but Im really pleased how he turned out.

Next up is Cannonball,I was asked to do this version as the official eaglemoss Cannonball is not his classic costume. The base figure is Guy Gardener, a few alterations to his outfit and he was finished rather quickly.

And last but not least is a team I was asked to do..Hellfire Club. I hope you like this team :)

Its Morphing time!...

Ok Im back with a short update, I have a few customs up on ebay so if you search for Nintendanboo1 on ebay.co.uk should see the ones I have put up.

I have also done a quick custom of the X-man, Morph. Now there was a couple of ways I could of done this figure as there is a version where he is wearing a jacket or the Jim Lee costume or him using his powers.

So, I decided to go for the least obvious..using his powers. The figure is for a good friend of mine and since his favourite marvel character is Banshee, who else to make Morph transform into.

I ran out of Marvel bases so please excuse the DC base as the base figure was Cosmic Boy. Im really happy how he turned out as I thought he would be hit or miss and I think I hit the nail on the head with this one.

So if anyone would like a Morph using his powers please let me know as I will want to try and get him transforming into other characters (yes..even women XD

Hey everyone. First off I would like to say a huge thankyou for those viewing my blog as Im now over 1000 views :) many thanks and I hope to keep the customs coming for you all to look at.

These next few figures I customised were for a friend of mine and I hope he likes them.

First up is Changling, I had no idea who he was and I still dont have a clue, but as soon as I saw his headgear I thought I must give this a go as its something I wanted to try.. Also in the same picture you will see Black Tom Cassidy, the base model is Mephisto (credit for the idea goes to Santa).

Next up here is another version of Shard from the same base as my previous one, Black Widow. Next is Unus the Untouchable, again not a character I am familiar with but the more unusual the better for me to do as I like the unusual requests.

And finally, the last one I was asked to do was Krakoa the Living Island.. I thought I wouldnt be able to make this guy but after a while I am really happy how he turned out (final version does have red eyes just I changed it after taking an image)

I will have another update in the next few days with another X-related character, a character from the future and some more custom mighty muggs.

Hey everyone, I was asked to custom something on a larger scale than I normally do and I wondered how it was going to turn out as never done anything on this scale before..hope you like what the finished product looks like. First off the base figure was the Bowen Havok Statue, so you can see below what he started off like.

Then the first thing for me to do was to remove his chest plate and headgear which was surprisingly easier than I thought it was going to be. Then I had to fill out the chest area, collar, hair and cape.

Then all that was left to do was to piant him up.

Just thought I would post a little information on how I do a figure as a few of my friends would like to know :)

For this explanation, I am going to use the base figure Black Widow as my example. The image below shows you how the figure was without being filed or clipped etc..

The next image shows what she looks like once I have taken off her hair and re-added her hair with ponytail, wristbands and shoulder pads..

Then all there was left to do was paint and below is the finished version of Shard :)

Just a quick update today, I was asked to do 2 more DC character's which I wanted to do before I took the long break from customising, so was more than happy to do these 2.

First up we have Fire, as you can tell she was quite an easy figure to do and I used Poison Ivy as a base figure. I was asked to do her in her fire-form and have been asked to do her in her human form (more on that soon)

Next up I did her team mate, ICE, I used Donna Troy as the base figure and I decided to try and change her hair style as Ive done quite a few customs from Donna Troy and all start to look the same so I am very happy how she turned out as I think she looks completley different from the original figure.

I will be posting again later today or tomorrow so watch this space for an X-Villain and Wonder Woman foe.

Mimicking can be Fatale...

Been a little busy the past few days working on a few commissions. I knew one of these characters I was asked to do but the other I had no clue who they were.

First up is Mimic, the base I used was Beast Boy and the wings came from Hawkgirl. I am very happy how he turned out.

The second figure I was asked to do was Fatale who used to be Hellcat as thought she was a perfect base figure for her.

Im working on a few other Marvel customs as well as a DC character. So keep tuned to see who they are.

Mighty Mugg Hoooo!!!

Just a quick update, I have been asked to do a mighty mugg and I had no idea how I was going to do this but I gave it a go and I have found I like doing these so there will be others in the long run.

The one I was asked to do (if you cant guess from the title) was a thundercat and the one I did was Tygra :)

I have designed a few others to go with the Tygra, just in need to get the base models for them. If anyone would like a custom mighty mugg then send me an email s401368@yahoo.co.uk.

Well since Ive not posted in a while I think the updates will come alot quicker than they did last time since I have done quite a few customs while not updating my blog.

Here is one of the other newer customs I have done recently..ArchAngel. The wings are handmade and the base figure was from Nightwing.

Bit of a Random moment..

Hey everyone, Ive not been doing many customs recently but I thought I would start to share some of my most recent creations with everyone and hope you all like what I have to show. I think I have improved off my earlier work with the level of detail I now put into each figure and the time taken for me to complete each one.

Up first is a figure I wanted to do for a while now but Im not at that level of sculpting (in my opinion) to sculpt jackets so I waited for X-man to come out and here is the finished figurine.

Next up was a strange request to have made as Im not familiar with Marvel but I like a challenge so I took it on board and Im very pleased with how Random turned out. The base model is Bane.

Im waiting on a few images of other figurines I have done for my next update so keep checking back as some characters from the future will be appearing..If anyone would like a custom made then feel free to leave a comment or email me at s401368@yahoo.co.uk

The Rise of The Sinestro Corps

Now as you all know Ive set myself the challenge of 100 marvel figurines to 100 different lanterns which spans all 8 corps'. And the first couple to get the GL make-over was Green Goblin.

The only one I could think of for Green Goblin was Gleen. Not much is known about either of the two, apart from Gleen is the active sinestro member of sector 312.

Next up is one I've been wanting to do for a while now, and finally got round to making her. Here is Karu-sil of Sector 2815 which is the same sector as Green Lantern Arisia.

And one I re-did (took the old cape off and made a brand new one) Here is Gentleman Ghost mark 2 and he will be heading to ebay.

The Crypt Keeper Emerges.

Well I'm back on form seeing as I've been a bit busy the past week or so. So I think I will start with what has kept me so busy (other than my new nephew). I was asked on the Green Lantern Corps Forum, to make some Green Lanterns that would fit into the DC Direct line-up of action figures and this is how they turned out.

Now back on track with my own customs for my display, I was originally going to use spectre for 2099 Doom but since the figure stayed unchanged for weeks I decided to use him for my next Green Lantern.

This Green Lantern is Green Lantern of Sector 666 and comes with his very own pet (taken from Kitty) He and his Dratures protect and honor the fallen green lanterns in the crypt on Oa, some say he volunteered for such a duty but no one can be certain. He is Morro.

No posts in a while and you guys get 2 within a day, arnt you guys lucky haha.

Just to say a huge Thankyou for everybody who has viewed my blog over the past couple of weeks, even though I have not had time to re-take images or make any new customs......

But seeing as I have reached 100 views thought I would make a special post and show the recent Marvel customs I have done for a friend of mine. I have been making customs for well over a year now and I have not really pushed myself to try new techniques or sculpt so since I have been making some scratch built GL figs for another mate of mine I thought I would try my hand at a scratch built Marvel character and why not Rocket Raccoon...

Here is one I have wanted to just make for ages now and I hace had the base fig for ages just never got round to actually completing the figure. Well as the base fig was creeper and he had the perfect pose for Toad im my opinion.

And finally this one was going to be a competition entry but I changed my mind about entering it and thought Id show it off sooner rather than later, I need a Cap Americas sheild to finish him off but Im happy how he turned out. US Agent.

For my next post we will see the small group of Sinestro Corps members I have been working on.

Transformation of Superboy Prime

Well, Superboy Prime didn't look right to me as soon as I saw him way back, and I knew I would have to work my magic on him to turn him from the little boy in Infinite Crisis to The Herald of the Anti-monitor in The Sinestro Corps War.

Next up is one I have had on my painting station for at least 3 months now and I never got round to finishing her off until I decided to pull this all nighter and she is finally finished so here I give you the blond bombshell of the Green Lantern Corps...Arisia!

And last but not least, the 1st marvel figurine to get the Green Lantern make over (not including ones started or done before I set the challenge) The culprit for my first conversion was Gladiator and the only one who fitted his likeness was Davo Yull of the GLC.

Next up will be a very special post to showcase some of the recent Marvel customs I have done for a friend of mine so keep posted.

How much is that doggy in the window...

For this custom I went out of my way to try something new and I am quite pleased on how well he came out. Well as many would have seen the w.i.ps of this guy on various forums I am on. But I got round to finishing him off tonight. So here is the dopey dog of the GLC...G'nort.

He has many sectors as he kind of wanders around alot and he hasnt been seen for a while (most probably disguised as a black lantern) Well while he was around he was a member of the JLI (justice league international)

The images dont do him justice imo (mainly due to me not being able to take them) as really proud how he came out. Next time I will start the countdown of 100 marvel figurines so watch this space.

War of lights begins...in Sector 345

Just a heads up for what I am planning to do in the future for all my customs. Below is a prototype for all the bases I will be using in my customs from now on (well when I get a mold and stuff to cast them anyway)

And one of the few that wont need re-basing as I wouldnt be able to see the logo is Olapet. She carries around a pouch which contains a seed, and this seed will become the next Olapet when the current version dies. When this occurs, she passes on her memories to the seed which becomes the new Olapet with memories of all the previous versions.

Well here is one I did awhile ago and thought who better to start off my blog other than Hal Jordans most known villain...Sinestro!! Who now dons the colourful sinestro corps outfit but was once the Greatest of the Green Lanterns. Thats why here he is in his green lantern outfit..

Next up will be one of my scratch builds from my early days which is still one of my faves of mine...I wonder if anyone can guess who that could be...

Sector Search begins...

I've thought about this, and taking a leaf out of Ace's book (not the same book though) I am going to try and turn all of the Marvel Figurines into a Green Lantern or any of the other respected corps members and even some of his old enemies....

I will start posting my work here once I have got a decent amount of them planned as with there being around 96/97 figures out in Marvel I have quite a way to go but by the end of it I guess I will have quite a collection of lanterns.
